I am sorry to announce that, until further notice, i have decided to accept no new orders at this time. My back log has grown much larger than i ever anticipated, which i attribute to my many wonderful customers who have supported my efforts by their patronage, and often patience. I will continue to work towards filling my present orders, but due to having to complete needed repairs to my home from past storm and flood damage, i am sorry, but delivery times will unfortunately be necessarily extended. Thankyou for your support. Your Humble Servant, Wick Ellerbe
Welcome to my website. I hope you enjoy your visit. On my site you will find a variety of knives suitable for the 18th century woodsman, longhunter, militiaman and even for the gentleman and ladies. You will also find offerings for a small variety of useful accoutrements that I make when time allows. These knives and accoutrements are copied from, or inspired by, those found in museums and in some cases, private collections. I strive to keep all my products true to their historical aspect, in design and base materials but I have to plead guilty to using modern adhesives and sealers in order to promote their strength and longevity. I make my own sheaths and hand sew them, in most cases, with nylon thread that closely resembles linen. Real linen thread is offered at no extra charge. Just ask for it if that is what you prefer. I also use real sinew to sew some of my sheath designs. I normally use high grade vegetable tanned leather but can offer bark-tanned or brain-tanned deer when available and at an extra charge. All the rawhide that I use is deer rawhide; not unraveled doggy chews as most often, those are too thick for my needs. Look my site over and if you see something you like, you may contact me by phone, e-mail, or letter. I require no deposit on most orders, just your word as a gentleman, or lady that you will make payment when the item is ready to ship. On custom, or personalized orders, I may require a deposit. That is most dependant on whether I think I can sell the item elsewhere, if you decline.
I very much appreciate your interest in my knives and other items and hope to be of service to you one day. Take a look at what is on the site and if you do not see an item, or knife style that you like, contact me and I may be able to accommodate your needs.
Thanks again,
Wick Ellerbe
